# monid resources release

> Release a resource (async, idempotent).

Release a resource (async, idempotent).

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
monid resources release -r <resource-id> [-y] [--json]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `-r, --resource-id <resourceId>` | string | Yes | Resource ID to release |
| `-y, --yes` | boolean | No | Skip the confirmation prompt |
| `-j, --json` | boolean | No | Output as JSON |

## Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Release a resource with confirmation prompt
monid resources release -r 01HXYZ...
# Release a resource without prompting
monid resources release -r 01HXYZ... -y
```

## Behavior

* The command prompts for confirmation unless `-y` is passed.
* In `--json` mode, the confirmation prompt is skipped automatically; if `-y` is not passed, the command errors because it cannot prompt in JSON mode.
* The release is asynchronous and idempotent.
* A 409 conflict indicates the resource cannot be released (it may already be released).
