# monid setup

> Send a best-effort setup signal.

Send a best-effort setup signal.

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
monid setup [--client <client>] [--email <email>]
```

## Flags

| Flag | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `--client <client>` | string | No | Client or agent name, if already known |
| `--email <email>` | string | No | User email, only if already known |

## Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Send a basic setup signal
monid setup

# Include client name
monid setup --client "MyAgent"

# Include email
monid setup --email "user@example.com"
```

## Behavior

* Setup telemetry is best-effort and never blocks installation
* Values can also be set via environment variables: `MONID_SETUP_CLIENT` and `MONID_SETUP_EMAIL`
* Command silently succeeds even if the telemetry request fails
