# monid wallet promo-codes redeem

> Redeem a promo code for this workspace.

Redeem a promo code for this workspace. With an API key only the signup credit code (e.g. MONID-SIGNUP) can be redeemed; other codes are redeemed in the Monid dashboard.

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
monid wallet promo-codes redeem -c <code> [--json]
```

## Flags

| `-c, --code <code>` | string | Yes | The promo code to redeem |
| `-j, --json` | boolean | No | Output as JSON |

## Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Redeem the signup credit
monid wallet promo-codes redeem -c MONID-SIGNUP

# Output as JSON
monid wallet promo-codes redeem -c MONID-SIGNUP --json
```

## Behavior

* Requires an active API key configured with `monid keys add`
* Promo codes are trimmed and upper-cased before submission
* Empty codes and codes longer than 64 characters are rejected locally
* Update notices are printed when available (suppressed with `--json`)
