# Turn a Product Photo Into a Short Promo Video

> Use Monid to generate one short vertical promo clip from a reference photo, with approval and cost reporting.

Give your agent an approved product photo and a budget. It uses Monid to generate one short reference-based clip, report exact costs, and remind you to verify product details.

<Tip>
  **Example question:** Can my agent turn a product photo into an eight-second vertical promotional video?
</Tip>

## Try it yourself (give it to your agent)

```text Prompt theme={null}
Use Monid to create one eight-second, 9:16 promotional video for a ceramic coffee mug from an approved product photo.
Ask me to provide the photo, confirm I have the right to use it, and specify the mug details that must stay unchanged. Ask whether the desired look is a cozy home kitchen or a premium studio setup. My maximum generation budget is $3.
Inspect a currently available reference-image video model, its restrictions, and pricing. Propose a simple shot: a slow camera move around the mug, gentle morning light, and no people or text overlays. Show the estimated cost and ask for approval before generating.
Return the playable clip, exact model and settings, generation cost, and any download-expiry information. Tell me to check the handle, proportions, color, and branding against the reference before approving more clips. Do not generate a batch, publish the asset, or promise perfect product consistency.
```

## Potential tools

* [**ByteDance**](https://monid.ai/tools/bytedance): `/v1/video/seedance-2.0` supports reference-based video generation.
* [**MiniMax**](https://monid.ai/tools/minimax): `/v1/image_generation` may help prepare an approved image if needed, but is not required when you already have a suitable product photo.

The agent selects settings, requests approval, and returns the generated asset.

## Example output

<Note>Names, counts, and details below are fictional. Real responses include actual sources, costs, and generated files.</Note>

> Your **eight-second vertical preview** is ready.
>
> The shot moves slowly around the mug on a kitchen counter, with soft morning light and **no text overlay**. I used your approved image as the reference and generated **only one clip**.
>
> **Before proceeding, compare:**
>
> * The handle and rim
> * Color and finish
> * Any logo or branding
>
> Generated video can change **small product details**.
>
> The response includes the video file, model settings, and **actual generation cost**. Download or store the clip before its temporary link expires. I have **not** published it or started any additional generations.
